HARRISON/SECTION CORNER MONUMENT

INSTALLATION SPECIFICATIONS

 

The installation of all HARRISON monuments will be supervised by and supplied through the Morgan County Surveyor’s Office (MCSO). The MCSO requires three (3) working days notification prior to the installation of HARRISON monuments. Section corner locations are to be located, marked, and straddled by MCSO prior to excavation. Harrison Monument set in Concrete/ Asphalt Pavement

A HARRISON monument installed in concrete/ asphalt pavement shall have a twenty four (24) inch, by twenty four (24) inch saw cut. Excavated to a twenty four (24) inch depth, and backfilled to surface with concrete or non-shrink grout, and positioned by the MCSO straddles.

Harrison Monument set in Concrete/ Asphalt Pavement

A HARRISON monument installed in concrete/ asphalt pavement shall be installed with a ten (10) inch (minimum) core, excavated to a depth of twenty four (24) inches, backfilled to surface with concrete or non-shrink grout, and positioned by the MCSO straddles.

Harrison Monument in Earth

A HARRISON monument installed in earth shall have an eighteen (18) inch diameter by thirty six (36) inch Sonotube TM, backfilled to the surface with concrete or non-shrink grout, leaving the Monument exposed one (1) inch, and positioned by the MCSO straddles. Harrison Monument twelve (12) inches in length set over Cornerstone. Existing Cornerstone monuments to remain in place.
